- Usage data: the number of analyses and deep verifications you have run, so we can apply free allowances and subscriptions.
- Content you submit: the URLs or text you ask us to analyse, processed to produce a result.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
How we use it
- To provide the service, including analysing the content you submit.
- To manage your account, free allowances and subscription.
- To send essential service emails, such as verification and password resets.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
Third parties
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, including Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and the content and AI providers used to fetch and analyse submissions. We do not sell your personal data. This site may show advertising, which can involve advertising partners' own cookies.
Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email admin@factorfiction.news.
